The episode opens with Jack and Ryan pursuing another cursed antique from Uncle Lewis’s collection after a tip-off letter points them toward a portable garden mulcher. The mulcher has a deadly secret: when a person is fed into it, the machine grinds them up and spits out cash equal to that victim’s “worth to society.” The current owner, Adrian the gardener, has been using it to create blood money from wealthy victims on a large estate, leaving a trail of disappearances that catches the team’s attention. While Jack and Ryan track the mulcher, Micki is pulled in a different direction. Her fiancé, Lloyd the lawyer, arrives at Curious Goods demanding she leave the dangerous antique-hunting business and marry him as planned. Lloyd refuses to believe her stories about cursed objects, forcing Micki to choose between her relationship and her responsibility to recover the deadly items.
As Ryan and Jack close in, they discover Adrian has set up at the estate specifically to target valuable victims. The mulcher’s former owner had already learned its twisted mechanism and was institutionalized after using it. The trio eventually confronts Adrian and manages to stop him by feeding the gardener into his own mulcher. In a fitting end, the machine produces nothing for Adrian, implying he had no value to society. In the aftermath, Micki decides she can’t abandon the mission. Despite Lloyd’s ultimatum, she tells him she feels obligated to continue recovering the cursed antiques, choosing her newfound duty with Ryan and Jack over marriage.
