Micki, Ryan, and Jack retrieve a pair of boxing gloves from a recently deceased gym owner, one of the cursed antiques sold by Uncle Lewis. The gloves, once owned by “Killer” Ken Kelsey, make their wearer unbeatable in the ring, but the power comes with a deadly catch: while the boxer wins his fight, his animated shadow slips out and beats an innocent person to death. A washed-up fighter named Tommy Dunn gets hold of the gloves and goes on a sudden winning streak, unaware his shadow is committing murders for him.
The trio manage to recover the cursed gloves, but Tommy breaks into Curious Goods and holds Micki at knifepoint to get them back. To stop him, Ryan has to put the gloves on and box Jack, because only then will Ryan’s shadow go out and defeat Tommy’s shadow. The plan works, but Tommy ultimately dies from accumulated head trauma. The gloves are logged as recovered in the Manifest.
