I know bits and pieces of African folklore and a lot of it influenced that of Jamaica’s but this show is something else. I don’t really watch African shows, maybe dramas, but The Quiet Village is somethimng special. We see that a great evil has descended on a village in Africa, maybe Ghana, and it doesn’t like noise and is probably blind. It’s beheading people and can travel at great speeds. It’s powerful and it’s out for death.
A young woman who has just caught the eye of an African man and her brother is none too approving and has warned his sister to stay away from him. I wouldn’t mind the brother saying that as the other gentleman is creepy and all too friendly and seems like he wants something sexual, very horny and too presumptuous.
But the evil is front and centre and the people are deadly afraid. I would too. I’m terrified but the evil wears a gruesome mask and you can tell that he can detect great fear. I’m gonna watch and review this show.
