Kryptonite kid is a supervillain created when a krptonite induced gamma wave infected a young prodigious scientist trying to eliminate the effects of krptonite on Superboy and turned deadly. Now he’s radioactive and doesn’t trust Superboy to help him as he blames him and now he’s dying. Superboy elnlistrs the help of his dopplpleganger to fool KK. It worked for a short time but fails and Superboy nearly gets killed trying to stop him. Eventually with the help from the dopplehanger they capture him and haul him off to the lab and on his way to a cure.
